At the end of the night, a clean-cut hunk and a rebellious bartender act on their unlikely chemistry in this frisky standalone novel from the author of Eye Candy.
Unlike the bubbly blondes I usually date, the feisty, flame-haired bartender both intrigues and bewilders me. Something about Grace—the tattoos? Trading insults and one-liners has become our M.
But after my little bet with Davis backfires, our first date lands us in the sack. So does the second. And the third. Neither of us wants more than the best sex of our lives. And what I need is Davis. Jessica Lemmon created an entertaining opposites-attract story with a great balance in the funny, sexy, sweet, and serious moments. Lemmon provided a rich cast of supporting characters. Arm Candy is charming and sweet.
I love the fact that it can be read as a standalone. More by Jessica Lemmon See more. America's Sweetheart: A Novel. Book 5. Old flames burn bright. So I escape to the only safe haven I know and trust—my hometown—to take a breather while I plot my triumphant Hollywood comeback.
And suddenly the past comes rushing back. Jackson: First kiss. First time. First love.
Yep, Allison Murphy and I shared a lot of firsts back in the day. When she left, she took half my heart with her. Merina Van Heusen will do anything to get her parents' funky boutique hotel back--even marry cold-as-ice-but-sexy-as-hell Reese Crane.
It's a simple business contract--six months of marriage, absolute secrecy, and the Van Heusen is all hers again. But when sparks fly between them, their passion quickly moves from the boardroom to the bedroom. And soon Merina is living her worst nightmare: falling in love with her husband.

See more. Book 3. Is there room for two in that sleeping bag? The story line is fun and witty bringing everything together into a nice, neat package. Davis and Grace are complete opposites but they just really work. I think they bring out the best in each other and it's so fun to watch them go! Arm Candy is the second book in the Real Love series but it can be read as a standalone with no problem. Like the first book, I had just a bit of trouble getting into this story and I think it's the first-person POV. It has never been my favorite POV to read and I think I must have to be in the right mood to really enjoy it.
After I got into the story I really enjoyed it. Davis frequents the bar where Grace works but she's not his type — or is she? Grace has watched Davis come and go with a flock of different blondes so she makes a bet with him that he won't ask out a woman who isn't blonde.
Boy is she surprised when he takes her up on the bet and asks her out! These two really throw sparks off of each other and their chemistry in the sack is off-the-charts hot. Davis has been burned badly by a woman in the past and he is surprised by how close he lets himself get to Grace and the things he reveals to her.
Grace is used to being let down by men so there's no way she's going to fall for Davis — until she does. Gradually she and Davis build a relationship but then she gets cold feet and things go all wrong. I really enjoyed the witty banter between these two. Davis seems almost too good to be true and I hate the Grace can't seem to let herself completely trust him.
Arm Candy - Random House Books
This was an entertaining and mostly lighthearted story and I did end up enjoying it a lot. If first-person POV is your cup of tea you should really like this one. A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. Davis likes control and not taking chances.
As a stock analyst, he has to take a few chances, but never life altering ones. He works , never over. He wears a suit and tie to work at home because he feels that people can "sense" his professionalism, therefore placing their trust in him. Was he always this way? After being a jilted groom, he stopped taking chances.
